(Las Vegas, February 16, 2018) – Chef Scott Conant’s highly anticipated Masso Osteria is now open at Red Rock Casino, Resort & Spa, offering local foodies and out-of-towners an opportunity to enjoy culinary excellence rarely experienced off the Strip.

Having successfully delivered casual and fine dining concepts to The Strip, Conant sought to create “serious food that doesn’t take itself seriously” with Masso Osteria. His vision of a restaurant in which a romantic evening and a celebratory group outing could be experienced hand-in-hand came to life within its walls.

“It’s the culmination of my entire career,” Conant said following the opening. “All of the things we’re excelling at, products we’ve used over time or recipes we’ve tweaked and elevated – there are hints of sophistication, but at the same time there’s an overall approachability to the space.”

The result is a comfortable, warm atmosphere with a menu of classic Italian dishes that feature Conant’s touch, including signature dishes as the Pasta al Pomodoro, Creamy Polenta ‘Boscaiola,’ House-made Stromboli, and Steak Fiorentina.

“We’re creating an environment in which people can be happy, where they can celebrate and spend special times with us,” Conant said. “That’s a sense of accomplishment, and there’s a responsibility that goes with that.”

Centrally located on the Red Rock casino floor with an outdoor dining area facing Charleston Boulevard, Masso Osteria marks the James Beard award winning chef’s first collaboration with Station Casinos and the destination resort, itself a multiple “Best of Las Vegas” award winner. Conant, famous for his long-running Chopped appearances, chose the name “Masso” – Italian for “boulder” – to reflect the rocky desert landscape that surrounds Las Vegas. The restaurant is open Sunday through Thursday from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m.; Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. until 11 p.m.; and social hour Sunday through Friday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Reservations can be made by visiting: www.massoosteria.com or by calling 702.797.7097.

Masso Osteria is the latest edition to Conant’s growing business empire, which includes New York’s Fusco, The Pointe Ristorante in Los Angeles, and Mora Italian in Phoenix and upcoming Italian steakhouse concept, Cellaio in the Catskills, New York.

From acclaimed chef, author and restaurateur Scott Conant comes a quintessential Italian eatery for local gourmands and travelers alike, Masso Osteria. Inspired by the rocky desert landscape that surrounds Summerlin – “Masso” is Italian for “boulder” – the restaurant captures the convivial spirit of a classic osteria, offering refined, craveable Italian fare in a lively setting. A fitting destination for both special occasions and casual weeknights with friends, Masso is a return to form for chef Conant, whose menu of house made pastas, antipasti and savory wood-fired sides reflects his guiding philosophy: to create unforgettable dining experiences rooted in soulful cooking and generous hospitality.
