La Flor de Michoacán opens at Texas Station, bringing delicious, homemade ice cream and Mexican treats

New shop features an assortment of almost 60 original flavors for guests

(Las Vegas, September 11, 2017) – A Las Vegas staple for more than 11 years, La Flor de Michoacán is open for business and bringing its signature style of ice cream to Texas Station.

The family owned ice cream and dessert spot has been among the most popular places for people to enjoy original, refreshing Latino-style treats since it opened its doors in 2006. The new Texas Station outpost will continue that tradition and feature more than 20 different flavors of ice cream, 30 flavors of ice cream bars and eight types of refreshing flavored waters (Aguas Frescas). Additional treats available at this new location include popsicles, smoothies, milkshakes, fresh-squeezed fruit juices, ice cream cakes, shaved ice, ice cream sundaes, yogurt, banana splits, Hawaiian banana splits and crepes.  Prices range from $1 to $9.99.

“The secret to our success has always been to focus on delivering the best one-on-one customer service to every one of our guests, and that begins with quality, original, great tasting ice cream. We are honored to be able to offer our products at Texas Station and are proud to become the first Latino-style Ice cream shop in the Station Casinos family,” said Armando Chavez, owner of La Flor De Michoacán at Texas Station.

La Flor de Michoacán at Texas Station is open Monday to Thursday from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to midnight and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

“La Flor de Michoacán is the perfect fit for Texas Station, as they’ve already established themselves as a favorite in the locals’ market,” said Stacy Stagg, vice president and general manager of Texas Station.
