Palace Station antes up its culinary offerings with addition of Charcoal Room and Little Tony’s; acclaimed Oyster Bar gets makeover

LAS VEGAS (May 19, 2014) – Palace Station, the original Las Vegas locals’ casino,   is introducing two new restaurants: a new Charcoal Room steakhouse and Little Tony’s, a new concept by 11-time World Pizza Champion Tony Gemignani.

Highlights of the culinary concepts include:

Charcoal Room

Combining creativity and design with award-winning quality and service, Station Casinos’ popular steakhouse concept, the Charcoal Room, is set to debut this June. This will mark the second Charcoal Room location in Las Vegas as it first originated at sister property Santa Fe Station.

Open daily for dinner, the Charcoal Room will offer a casual and comfortable, yet elevated dining experience. Celebrating the classic American steakhouse, the extensive menu will include top-grade cuts of the finest beef, market select fresh seafood, and distinct appetizers and side dishes designed to leave a lasting impression.

Guests can expect to see many of the same celebrated menu items from Santa Fe Station, including oysters on the half shell, lobster chowder, the succulent bone-in New York steak, rib eye and an outstanding porterhouse, all seasoned simply and cooked to perfection. Guests will also be able to choose one of two selections of dry-aged USDA prime beef including a New York steak or top sirloin, along with an extensive selection of side dishes such as creamed fresh corn Au Gratin, tater tots and an incredible macaroni and cheese with fresh lobster.

The restaurant will feature 170 selections of fine wines and 20 exceptional wines by the glass to seamlessly pair with its menu.

Little Tony’s

Little Tony’s will be an Italian trattoria and classic pizzeria with a comfortable modern twist while maintaining Old World charm. The restaurant will feature classic entrees found in your mother’s kitchen along with award-winning pizzas.

Coming soon, Little Tony's will offer a variety of Italian and American pizza styles, including Classic Italian, Classic American, Sicilian, New York, Traditional Chicago Cracker Thin (corn meal crust), and Gluten Free.

Highlights include House Special Chicago Cast-Iron Pizzas, featuring The Dillinger, which won the World’s Best Pizza 2014 at the Las Vegas International Pizza Challenge (smoked Mozzarella, chicken, roasted broccolini, pancetta, crushed red peppers, artichokes, garlic, Alfredo sauce, and three cheeses), offered in Las Vegas for the first time exclusively at Little Tony’s; the Sicilian-style Burratina Di Margherita (Burrata cheese, cherry tomatoes tossed with basil, extra virgin olive oil, and balsamic reduction), which won the Gold Cup Pizza Championships in Leece, Italy; and the Cal Italia (Asiago, Mozzarella, imported Gorgonzola, sweet fig preserve, Prosciutto di Parma, Parmigiano-Reggiano, and balsamic reduction), which won the Gold Medal in the Food Network Pizza Champions Challenge.

Additionally, a selection of house-made pastas, calzones, Stromboli, antipasti, and salads will be offered, all with a focus on authentic Italian ingredients and organically-grown produce.

Tony Gemignani has received numerous accolades and is president of the World Pizza Champions. He is the only Triple Crown winner for baking at the International Pizza Championships in Lecce, Italy and in 2007 won the title of World Champion Pizza Maker at the World Pizza Cup in Naples, Italy, where he was the first American and non-Neapolitan victor ever. He has also been named the official U.S. ambassador of Neapolitan pizza by the city of Naples, a prestigious title only given to three people in the entire world.

Since 2009, he has opened Tony’s Pizza Napoletana in San Francisco’s North Beach neighborhood; Tony’s Coal-Fired Pizza & Slice House (next door to his flagship location); Pizza Rock in Sacramento and Downtown Las Vegas; Capo’s, a Chicago-style Italian pizzeria and whiskey bar also in the North Beach neighborhood;  two restaurants at Graton Resort & Casino in Sonoma County, a new casino managed by Station Casinos, and will be bringing his popular Pizza Rock concept to Station Casinos sister property Green Valley Ranch in the coming year.

Oyster Bar

In addition, the acclaimed 18-seat Oyster Bar recently concluded a cosmetic refresh with a modern, fisherman’s wharf -inspired look. Highlights include all-new steam kettles, stainless steel upgrades, granite countertops and a marble-lined back wall. The popular restaurant is celebrated for its fresh gumbos, pan-roasts, chowders and Louisiana-style seafood dishes
